Bastias appeal over their punishment following last months abandoned Ligue 1 game against Lyon, which included forfeiting the match, was rejected by the French Football Federation (FFF) on Tuesday.

The league's disciplinary commission awarded Lyon a win and ordered Bastia's stadium to be closed for two games after home fans twice invaded the pitch and attacked Lyon players.

In a statement, the FFF said they had upheld "in its entirety the initial decision taken by the French league's disciplinary commission" following the crowd trouble that caused the game on April 16 to be halted.

A Bastia director, Anthony Agostini, was also banned for four months after an altercation with Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

Bastia were relegated from the top flight after a 1-0 defeat by Marseille on the final weekend of the season, finishing three points from safety.
